Just do a Google search for “how much does house cleaning cost” or ask people you know who have hired a house cleaning service. You’ll find that house cleaning rates can range wildly from $20 per hour for a friendly neighborhood “cleaning lady” to over $250 per hour for a team of several professional cleaners working all at once.
Not only do prices vary, but what is included in each service and the professionalism can fluctuate from company to company too.
See those crystal clear clerestory windows up there??? Yeah. We did that!
We can’t speak for other house cleaning companies, but generally, our pricing at West Jordan Cleaning Service depends on three factors:
How big is your home? Obviously, the more square footage you want cleaned, the more time it will take. It just makes sense that the two-bedroom condo of a retired couple will not cost as much as a five-bedroom family home full of children and pets.
Obviously deep cleaning, or special occasion cleaning require more time to do well. Luckily, these periodic invest-in-your-home services only happen a few times a year and are easy to budget for.
If your home hasn't been getting regular love and attention, the first time we clean it may take a bit longer--and therefore might cost slightly more. But think of this as an initial, long-term investment in your space. A clean home is much quicker--and therefore much less expensive--to maintain over time. It's so much easier to "keep up" on housework than "catch up."
